Harvy Karp's book The Happiest Toddler on the Block is a book full of useful information for parents of toddlers or those who work with them. Karp describes toddlers as "little cavemen" and advocates talking to them as such. He discusses behavior typical of toddlers ranging from simply annoying behaviors to dangerous behaviors, like running into the street. The advice given is given in a light, easy to read style that reduces the didactic feel that books of this type can often have.
